Yesterday was one of the most incredible days of my life. After long and agonizing thought and prayer, I had decided to leave this board. I had very much enjoyed my time here. You people are simply the best. God has so richly blessed me with all the encouragement and so many lessons I've learned. @RobertBarnes has imparted so much knowledge, taking precious time to provide education in law, the Constitution and in the political spectrum. While not all of the board members always agree, we were always provided a safe place to disagree and to enter into debate. This platform, with its annoying flaws, allows us the space to articulate our opinions and to provide the evidence to back them up.
I was so overwhelmed by the kind words of so many. But I also thinkmy initial decision sparked a reminder to all.of us that despite our fears, our anxieties, we need to continue to encourage each other to stand united, to put away anger, to forgive when we falter, to uphold each other, that we can be example to others on how meaningful these relationships can be. Truly, you are some of the finest people I've ever known. I took it to the Lord one final time, asking Him what he would have me to do. Within 5 minutes a fellow board member presented me with that answer, direct from the heart of God. When you experience those moments they are unforgettable. They are definitive. God has more for me to learn and hopefully more for me to share.
Therefore, I will be staying for another year. Hopefully, we will get through these trying times as united, not necessarily always in agreement, but to support each other as fellow citizens, to uphold each other when things are difficult and to remind each other that we can be stronger when we are united. God has a perfect plan and it's ALWAYS for our good even when it feels like the world is crumbling around us.
Philippians 1

4 always in every prayer of mine making request for you all with joy"
