SCOTUS Vaccine Mandate Rulings

We won the big one, exactly as forecast -- 6 to 3, with the 3 conservatives wanting to go further. I believe the OSHA ruling sets the more significant precedent. What saved the Medicare mandate was 3-fold: first, religious exceptions required in the rule itself; second, the percieved beneficiary is old & poor patients; and third, the history of hospitals mandating vaccines. Very good to see Barrett join the conservatives on the Medicare mandate. All in all, a good day.

@RobertBarnes @VivaFrei and all. 😡Serious question, is this Stop Nick Shirley Law LEGAL? Nick is a journalist afterall and has First Amendment Rights.
https://x.com/nypost/status/2091353625511535039
“Gov. Gavin Newsom signed California’s controversial “Stop Nick Shirley Act” into law on Saturday, just days after a radical left-wing operative crashed the journalist’s Capitol interview and launched a crude personal attack on him.
Assembly Bill 2624 expands California’s Safe at Home program to employees of nonprofits that serve people navigating the immigration system.
Critics have blasted the measure as a way to intimidate people “trying to shine light on bad behavior.”
The law takes effect Oct. 1, 2027.

The record high at DFW airport was 105°. We beat that today and are forecast to be 107° for the next two or three days.

It's a freaking oven here.

Barris just said on Warroom, "Every three days people go to the gas station and are reminded that Presudent Trump started a war that 70 percent of the American people did not support. Basically said only the Fox Boomercons support it.

Rich also said the young joined in and gave Trump the popular vote win...but they expected, being at the bottom of pyrimid, for their basic needs to be met before those of another country. (Iran War). Now those young people are going to burn it down.

It was good for Bannon to hear that, my humble opinion. Bannon wants to cut to whatever Trump has to say, not understanding that ppl don't think Trump is sincere anymore.

  • A different time, a different era. The suit, the dresses, the top hats, the old clocks, the decorated ceilings, the hand-crafted bars, the art deco lights, the bartender in a tux, a trip back to where even the everyday was elegant, the ordinary was glamorous, and the commonplace was anything but.

A. Art of the Day
  • From a board member, the liveliness in this photograph, balancing and blending nature to the inner surroundings, the warm, thick, colorful carpet above stone floors, the brick-made walls below the wooden beam roof (reminding me of the old homes on the little island in the center of Paris), the broad windows embracing the light, the flowers percolating throughout, the spices along the shelves, the pillowed chair waiting, all so natural, so human, so inviting.

A. Art of the Day
  • Early morning hours in Venezia, the fog rolling over the canals, the gondalas slipping through the waterways encircling and interpersing the city, ancient buildings of the civilizations of old standing strong, Gothic walls weathering centuries of storms and war, the maze of bridges criss-crossing the inner walls of the city, beckoning us as the bakers begin their bread-making and the cafes start up their lattes, walking steps Marco Polo once crossed, a true gem of a city to awake to, like Atlantis risen from the sea.
