I don't often post about my personal life outside of updates on my dog but here is a rare exception.

This past Friday my first child was born, a baby boy called Everett. Currently in NICU with him but he is doing well, he had slightly elevated breathing and they thought maybe he had an infection (he doesn't).

Nothing quite brings things in to perspective than having a child. Everything else really takes a back seat. Also the nurses are amazing.

I won't be sharing photos, trying to keep this little guy off social media for as long as possible. He is unbelievable adorable though.

For any who are traveling near Asheville, NC, the Biltmore Estate and the Grove Park in are absolute architectural wonders. This short documentary does an excellent job describing the history behind it and how the City and the family who owns it were not o ly able to save it but to share its unbelievable beauty to anyone who goes to see it.

If you have ever experienced what a building process involves, the tedious nature of details, and the difficulty in laying its foundations to the roof, you can totally appreciate the absolute and breathtaking home this is. From the grounds, to how they had to provide for up to 1000 workers for nearly six years, the amount of work involved is unimaginable. But when you go there, it's the detail in the workmanship that is to be admired. From the stone work to the carving of all the trim work, ALL done with basic hand tools, can't be comprehended.
