Terminal List: Black Wolf

What a disappointing cringe fest this show turned out to be! Every female was an arrogant, obnoxious, boss bitch with a mouth. Iran is the boogie man as it’s a 2015 or so based prequel to the show Terminal List with Chris Pratt that is based relatively closely to the Jack Carr book series. The books are great, this, I don’t know what this is supposed to be other than propaganda. Oh, I forgot to mention it’s a CIA/Mossad based joint operation starting in Episode 2, so of course we get the force fed lines like, “it’s Iran, it’s always nuclear.” 🥴🤡💩

I like the actors, Chris Pratt, Tyler Kitsch, & Tom Hopper, but the dialogue is lame, the lack of simple things like tradecraft of being a spook, you know, like when you have a massive USN tattoo on your arm & are doing spy shit, maybe, just MAYBE you keep your sleeves rolled down to reduce identification by the people you’re in surveillance of!?!?

I know it’s not reality, but simple details like not staring at your target for extended periods of time would reduce the likelihood of being made by them.

I gave it a 4/10, wouldn’t recommend it to anyone unless they’re trying to kill some time, maybe on a flight.

Edit: Holy crap I’m only half way through Episode 3!?! 🫣😵‍💫

Edit 2: Reduced to a 2 ⭐️review.

Appearance on Richard Syrette

I did a quick hit on Richard Syrette yesterday. Gotta keep Canadians apprised of the U.S. madness.

Barnes' question from last night

"UVU had access to potential outside resources, including additional sworn personnel, fire and EMS support, emergency management assistance, investigative resources, tactical assets, traffic-control support, and drone support, but those resources were not fully integrated into pre-event planning".

Paraphrasing for effect: "We had the resources but didn't deploy them but it's TPUSA's fault because they rushed the event" is not the own UVU (and others) think it is.

The university's own position is that it knew of the risks, warned TPUSA / Kirk's team of those risks, had the resources to address those risks, but didn't do so.

  • La Casa Azul, one of my favorite museums in the world as the lived-in home of artist Frida Kalho, whose artistic expression embodied the feel, the soul, and the physicality of her home turned museum, the deep azure of the walls, the mixed blues of the interior, the marriage of physical objects, food commodities, sculpted structures, the chill comfortable furniture, the welcoming rugs, the art deco lights, the open ceilings, the merger of outdoors and indoors, the native made wooden tables and chairs, the mix-match music of her patterned floors, and her own artwork interspersed throughout blended the place into a visit inside her own unique and wondrous mind.

Special Notices

A. Art of the Day
  • The Spirit of 76, the brilliant revolutionary fearlessness expressed by an Ohio carriage painter (Archibald Willard) after the Civil War to remind Americans of their deepest spirit of joyful revolution, the elder drumming away as the young boy mirrors his beat, and the middle aged American bandana-dressed letting his fingers dance on the flute, unaffected in spirit by the turmoil of the Revolution maintaining its spirit of resistance amidst its all, the flag still flying behind the smoke, the soldiers cheering, and the spirit marching onward.

A. Art of the Day
  • The allure of the staircase, like bidges, doors, and windows, always attract my mind’s eye, as portals between worlds, accented here by the color pallete and structural designs of the art deco era a century ago, blessed by the glamorous dress pooled around the elegant woman moving between those worlds as she bidges the steps, champagne flue carefully in hand, with the past yet close and the future still beckoning.
