"Progress ain't Reversible"

I've still been stuck in the book "A Land Remembered". Walking Texas and wondering what it looked like 50 years ago... 100 years ago... 200 years ago.

It's got its charm from an architectural perspective. Definitely a "Texas" feel in a good way - desert'ish with a city feel. The building are that beige / white cinematic pastel color.

I jogged though a neighborhood that had beautiful homes. New builds. Some under construction, which brought mack memories of the Ahmaud Arbery case. I kept my exploration to the side-walks.

Passed two neighboring houses - one had a Paxton lawn sign, the neighbor a Tallarico. So I immediately knew which neighbour was the reasonable one. lol

Saw people playing in the park - soccer baseball. Adults. Playing soccer baseball. And I was jealous. Soccer baseball was my favorite gym class sport. as a kid. It made me immediately nostalgic for a time that would never come back. Even if I could join a team, it wouldn't be the same in the context of life now. For everything there is a season...

We spent the day yesterday recording the "debates". Brandon Straka (the #WalkAway guy) is putting on a series of "debates" hoping to replicate the success of the first "Old MAGA vs. New MAGA" one.

We had a fun discussion about "conspiracies".

Them, at 21:00 - after an entire day in studio - the consensus was that we could not not discuss the Tyler Robinson issue, but he didn't want to do it in the same lighthearted way we discussed other conspiracies (and I think he was right). So we did a separate discussion that lasted about an hour. Buckley Carlson, Alex Stein, Harrison Smith, Gabrielle Cuccia, Brick Suit Guy, Paramount Tactical, me and a lawyer names David Pollack.

Brandon really is pouring his soul into this venture. Not sure what the end-goal is for him, but I hope he succeeds.

I get back to the hotel. Restaurants closed. City quiet. The gang was going out for dinner, but nothing good happens after 22:00 and it was past 23:00. lol

I click on Uber eats, order two burgers, and within 30 minutes a man is delivering them to the hotel.

This is the height of progress of our time and our wonder where it goes.

At some point, it's all automated. Not delivery guys delivering food at midnight, but drones or robots. Total "convenience". And what is the end-goal? What is the end cost?

Comparing this to living off the land and every day being a struggle for existence.

“If I could rip out the concrete and put back the woods, I would. But I can’t. Progress ain’t reversible. What’s done is done forever, and I’m sure as hell not proud of it. If any of you idiots had the brains of a jaybird you would stop right now too.” -Saul MacIvey, A Land Remembered.

Well, that was meandering. Going to do some pushups to get the blood flowing and get pumped for a heated debate. No holds barred against the "New MAGA".

More updates coming...

Booya.

Jury intimidation in Lindsay Clancy trial

I’m sure you’ve all already heard that a woman was arrested for alleged jury intimidation in the Lindsay Clancy trial. She was apparently photographing or recording jury members outside the courthouse.

Her name is Dawn Light.

She looks like a total lunatic. Like Kathy Bates out of misery.

I made the joke that if she is a retired nurse, I would investigate every death that occurred under her watch.

Then someone mentioned something about her son dying prematurely.

In looking that up, it seems she made the news in 2017 for falling into her son‘s gravesite.

It seems her husband also died prematurely period of ALS. The son apparently died from a seizure.

This is weird.

Mark Carney memes

Mark Carney seriously came out and said that Americans should stop making a memes, and then maybe the Canadian government will take trade discussions seriously.

I put together a montage of the best of the memes that flowed from that stupid statement.

Enjoy!

I did a quick hit on Richard Syrette yesterday. Gotta keep Canadians apprised of the U.S. madness.
