Mitch McConnell still MIA

It’s dereliction of duty at the individual level, and at the party level. Letting the Democrats score an easy win, and making it look like they are in fact looking out for the will of the people over the Republican Party itself, is a self own.

Where the heck is Mitch McConnell?

Fake Shiloh Hendrix fundraiser

The man who set up a fraudulent impersonation of Shiloh Hendrix in order to solicit donations from MAGA is now claiming it was a “social experiment”.

That he didn’t keep the money he admits to having fraudulently solicited.

Unfortunately, under the circumstances, “it was just a joke, bro” will likely not cut it.

Wire fraud under 18 U.S.C. § 1343 requires:

• A scheme or artifice to defraud, or to obtain money or property by means of false or fraudulent pretenses, representations, or promises.
• Specific intent to defraud
• Use of interstate or foreign wire communications in furtherance of the scheme
• That any misrepresentation was material.

Lack of fraudulent intent is a complete defense. But that requires good-faith belief in the truth of statements, honest mistakes, or pure non-fraudulent motives - which can include a true practical joke with no design to obtain money/property.

On its face, not the case here.

And the really sad thing is he’s got a young kid. That he ...

A blast from the past

I hope to be able to stream Fauci’s hearing.

This is a video from 2020, when Time named Anthony Fauci Top 100 person of the year.

Read the signs of the protesters in this video.

Listen to the way Fauci describes himself in this video.

Truly insidious evil makes villains of the heroes, and heroes of the villains.

I caught our kid drinking milk that was not for human consumption!

Meanwhile in Florida, I caught our youngest kid drinking milk that was not for human consumption.

Obviously, I am just joking. I don’t like milk, but raw milk is objectively delicious. Thicker, sweeter, healthier.

In the wake of explosive diarrhea from lettuce at Taco Bell, the government still feels the need to micromanage and limit the individual rights of the people, for the benefit of big ag and big corp.

In fact, given the outbreak, the government realizes it must govern even harder!

It’s a totally misguided application of oversight.

When people get sick from raw milk, it’s a few here, half a dozen there. And the government needs to shut down an entire industry.

When people get sick from mass contamination at the corporate level, it’s hundreds, thousand. Hospitalizations. Deaths. And no one bats an eye. Business as usual. Another recall. Then back to business as usual.

Criminalizing small ag, individual choice, freedom.

Forcing small farms and people who want control over their own ...

A. Art of the Day
  • Winslow Homer’s portrait of a farmer bestows even more than seen/scene in the painting, as the painting itself bestows the story of America — the farmer, in simple dress, shears the fields of America’s expanse to feed a hungry nation, the hearty yeoman of labor turning land into sustenance and a place into a nation. But the title and timing tells an even starker story — ’The Veteran in a New Field” displayed in 1865 after the end of the Civil War.
