Tyler Robinson Prelim Hearing

We are entering Sandy Hook-level conspiracy delusions in the Tyler Robinson trial, and it is wild to live through.

I was not active or vocal when Sandy Hook happened, so I didn't live the conspiracy theories in real time. I only got exposed to them when I started covering Alex Jones' deposition. People messaging me "nobody died at Sandy Hook", and "Alex Jones was right, that's why they're going after him", etc etc).

Barnes is right - it's one of those atrocities that is so grotesque, the coping mechanism of many is fantastical denial.

Or, psy-op to get prominent voices to repeat outlandish (and now, civilly-liable) conspiracy theories in order to discredit and law-fare into bankruptcy.

Ian Carroll and Candace Owens and their followers are beginning to look exactly like the "Nobody dies at Sandy Hook" crew.

It's conspiracy psychosis. We have been lied to so much, people don't just NOT trust the government, they reflexively believe the exact opposite no matter how outlandish.

Ian posted on X in response to Rachel Wilson (author of a book breakibg down toxic feminism) "You realize you're on the government's side, right???".

To which I replied "Ian, Do you really believe Charlie is dead? You realize you're on the government's side, right?"

Then someone replied "of course he's dead, we all saw it", then proceeds to say it wasn't a bullet, but an exploding mic, or if a bullet, a lower-caliber bullet from another gun.

And they don't realize the absurdity of their position. Some theories are too insane to be plausible, but their theories are not.

And that is exactly what the "Charlie isn't dead" people would say as well.

I finally got the admission I wanted from Ian Carroll, who has been claiming Israel did it from day why, while claiming to only "asking questions".

Just asking questions, while making wild and fantastical accusations, only to admit he has no evidence for any of it.

And like with Sandy Hook, the absurd, fantastical and unsubstantiated conspiracy theories make getting at the truth more difficult, since now everyone is lumped with the most extreme idiocy. The perfect psy-op.

Was it weird that Sandy Hook school was demolished? Or course. But not because nobody died - rather, because the school probably didn't implement the basic safety protocols they took money to implement.

Is it weird that the crime scene was dug up only 4 days after? Yes. But not because FBI is covering up for Israel. The university did it without advising (if we can believe that). More likely, if crooked, the school is covering for its own negligence. But alas, now anyone making the reasonable suggestions gets lumped with the "Israeli drone snipers exploding mic" lunacy.

Charlie Kirk was such an amazing figures, people need to concoct coping mechanism madness.

And he was such an amazing figures, that others are going to capitalize off, and exploit his assassination to build their brands and careers in the name of "truth seeking" while peddling nonsense.

When everything is an op, nothing is an op. And this might just be the ecosystem and evolution of great tragedy.

Finally got stir crazy today. Woke up felling rather energetic after three days of fatigue. Walked in and told the wife I'm uncovering the convertible and driving to the lake for lunch wanta go. She said yes but had to shower first. So the stage is set it's the first nice top down day in a month and off we go. Now we live in North west Kentucky and the lake in question is actually two lakes. Lake Barkley and Kentucky Lake and a small bar and grill on Barkley that has outside setting. Mainly because I've been instructed not to be in enclosed spaces with large groups of people. My immune system is compromised by the cancer treatment.

Man it was nice to get out and just drive. That's the real reason, I didn't care where we ate i just wanted to drive the toy. Take my mind off everything and just Jack Kerouac the open road and waste of a natural resource. You see the toy is an 07 C6 convertible Corvette that I've had for 10 years. Quite frankly it hasn't been driven much the summer ...

  • A different time, a different era. The suit, the dresses, the top hats, the old clocks, the decorated ceilings, the hand-crafted bars, the art deco lights, the bartender in a tux, a trip back to where even the everyday was elegant, the ordinary was glamorous, and the commonplace was anything but.

A. Art of the Day
  • From a board member, the liveliness in this photograph, balancing and blending nature to the inner surroundings, the warm, thick, colorful carpet above stone floors, the brick-made walls below the wooden beam roof (reminding me of the old homes on the little island in the center of Paris), the broad windows embracing the light, the flowers percolating throughout, the spices along the shelves, the pillowed chair waiting, all so natural, so human, so inviting.

A. Art of the Day
  • Early morning hours in Venezia, the fog rolling over the canals, the gondalas slipping through the waterways encircling and interpersing the city, ancient buildings of the civilizations of old standing strong, Gothic walls weathering centuries of storms and war, the maze of bridges criss-crossing the inner walls of the city, beckoning us as the bakers begin their bread-making and the cafes start up their lattes, walking steps Marco Polo once crossed, a true gem of a city to awake to, like Atlantis risen from the sea.
