The most annoying ad ever

The new Apple ad is so bad, it’s beyond words.

1) All the women are smart leaders.
2) The men are either dumb brutes, or emasculated eunuchs.
3) Who the heck needs a recipe for French toast?
4) That dad's beard is 3 months old. When was the last time he spoke with his parents?
5) The daughter is getting involved in an interracial relationship.
6) The daughter's boyfriend is also a brute, checking his own body odor at the door.
7) The wife is in control of the thermostat... THE WIFE?!?!?
8) They just leave the kitchen as a disaster. I guess dad will clean that up while his wife presents the Board budget.

9) What does this product do, and what product does it replace? It's basically a desktop cell phone.

10) NOBODY WALKED THE DOG!!!

A natural treasure in the most discrete places

We got this microscope. It’s amazing.

Look at the treasure, we found in a tiny puddle of water in the leaf of an agave plant.

Andy Harris had a rough night

There is a viral video going around of Andy Harris (Republican representative for Maryland’s 1sr Congressional District) in which he tries to blame the prices of diesel on Democrat “environmental regulations”.

After the crowd starts laughing, he goes on a tirade.

I needed to find the clip in context.

The context does not make it any better.

Do he not understand what he looks like when he berates the very people he is asking to vote for him?

Also, no one is going to buy that answer.

If he sincerely believed his answer, he would not get upset at people for laughing at it.

Appearance on Richard Syrette

I did a quick hit on Richard Syrette yesterday. Gotta keep Canadians apprised of the U.S. madness.

Art of the Day: Thursday, October 15, 2026

A photo I can feel, smell, touch, and sense -- the lovely leather bound old books and animal-skin parchment, inviting discovery into worlds of ancient wisdom, classical imagination, and forgotten histories, uncovering the words in the worn pages much as an ancestor generations ago may have done in the exact same way, connecting over time through the same words on the same pages in the same leather bound text. Just the image of old books inspires an excited mind and contemplative approach, as truth seeks connection over time.

. THE INTRODUCTION

Special Notices

A. Art of the Day
  • Another artistic expression of my own self-impression, the contemplative thought of looking out into the world through the oversized window amidst the shadows of dark and light, in between them both, uncovering and discovering along the way, a singular, solo figure in the space empty of objects but full of opportunities, sparse in materials but rich in ideas, waiting to be realized.

B. Wisdom of the Day
  • "He who sacrifices a right for a perceived benefit trades a mountain for a mirage.” Political proverb.

I. THE INTRODUCTION

Special Notices

A. Art of the Day
  • The mirrored reflection creating a paralleled world above and below, the fearsome crocodile coasting in the waterways made from centuries ago, a reminder of the power of the past and the potential of the present in the majestic ancient animal of our past and potential.

B. Wisdom of the Day
  • “Animal communication is like any other form of telepathic, intuitive conversation. The thoughts and feelings of people and animals carry energetic signatures, communicated through very primal, nonverbal channels.” Elizabeth Eiler.
