The Bricks and Minifigs story is the embodiment of the mutual destruction of litigation / intransigence.
The story of an old man whose LEGO collection was allegedly misappropriated by a franchise of Bricks and Minifigs.
A huge LEGO collection on consignment. Allegedly worth $200,000.
Unclear if the first franchise owner sold it and pocketed the cash.
If the franchisee who took over the old franchise stole it / kept it without paying. Or if a portion had been sold by the old franchisee.
Unclear if Corporate wrongly terminated the franchise to give it over to a new franchise.
Reckless Ben feeling morally empowered to test the limits of the law to do what he views as "justice".
Everyone digs in their heels. Everyone plays the litigation / law game.
And in the end, there will be no winners. Reckless Ben will face legal issues. Corporate will suffer long-lasting brand damage.
The new franchise owner will have lost time and money.
The value of peace is intangible until war breaks out.
Will do a follow up on the story shortly. Need to watch Part 2.
Stay tuned.
