I. INTRODUCTION
@VivaFrei @RobertBarnes
Long time subscriber, first time poster.
In the hopes of helping to get better politicians into office, I've created a politician review project called Gladhandlers.com and I'd be grateful for your feedback.
At Gladhandlers.com you can review politicians, individually or in groups, leaving your own record of their actions and your thoughts and feelings on them. It's a place where people can be directed during primary elections to see what a politician has done and how others feel about it -- like an Amazon review before a purchase.
No one will vote for the other party, so gladhandlers.com hopes to help get better primary election results. There are other sites that provide facts on voting history or try to aggregate a politician's position -- but gladhandlers.com captures individual experiences, emotions, and perceptions; which, I believe, has a more persuasive power than cold voting histories.
This is the first place I'm announcing this site as it's one of the few political communities I belong to (and my favorite). In many ways, this is an experiment to see if this is worth continuing. If you like this idea, consider:
I'm hoping this will gain some momentum and become a tool in our drive to get better elected officials -- but maybe I'm way off base. Let me know what you think.
Thank you.
I did a quick hit on Richard Syrette yesterday. Gotta keep Canadians apprised of the U.S. madness.
