Tim Walz fraud investigation
I am trying to piece something together, to figure out potential impropriety in Tim Walz appointing Optum, a subsidiary of UnitedHealth Group, to carry out the third-party audit of the fraud in his state.
Would there be any potential incentive for United to conceal / downplay the healthcare fraud in the state?
On the one hand, the obvious argument is that United would have no interest in paying out fraudulent claims.
Flipside, United might have a vested interest in not revealing fraudulent enrollees for which they might receive government subsidies.
Sincere questions based on my own limited, understanding of how the system works, and what potential fraud there could be in Walz’s appointment.
Sincere questions based on my operating premise that Tim Walz is a corrupt scoundrel, and therefore I presume there is some form of corruption to this decision. 😂
