Whew lads ...
I have been intruding into a few leftist echo-chambers and posting some exchanges....
These people have no fucking clue what is happening. They think the public is 80% or higher on their side and the concept of the government responding is not even in their heads.
That isn't to say they aren't dangerous or a threat... The true dyed-in-red communist revolutionaries are a bit more practical by necessity and are aware a response is likely coming - but I find the overall pattern rather interesting when compared to similar incursions I would go on a decade ago. There is significantly less coordination among them.
In the past, you would usually have a "boss character" lumber out from the back, somewhere, and provide a more structured criticism and response pattern intended to corrale people who had never encountered an "enemy" willing to talk sense to them.
There were others who acted to keep groups tied together across platforms and subjects - traffic controllers of sorts.
While it is perhaps a localized phenomena I am encountering - they generally seem to be far less operationally capable. If they wanted to try and construct an organized protest or militant op, the people and connections they need to facilitate that seem to not be there - at least, not nearly in the way they were 10, 15 years ago.
Either those people have peeled off to form their own groups, have already been interdicted at some stage, or been eaten by their own and the inmates run the asylum.
While my sample size is rather small, it's still incredibly fascinating to watch. You can literally tell these people that fire will burn them and they will jump in it because they concluded you are a fascist and can't be right. It's a phenomenon I have known about and observed before, but the tantric indulgence on display right now is something new.
There will be follow on attacks. The assassination of Charlie Kirk as inspired them to believe they are now the ascendant majority and will be realizing their goal of cultural conquest imminently.
I doubt it will be organized, but that is what makes it more dangerous in many ways, it will be people looking to score the next big name or believing they can succeed with a smaller name near them.
