I haven’t eaten breakfast yet. Jiffy Lube is changing our brake pads, and I wasn’t expecting it to come to $600. So I’m a little cranky.
With that said, the most recent images coming out of Canada have me enraged. Mark J. Carney at the Vancouver pride parade.
Initially, I just made the joke “meet the new boss, same as the old boss!”
Then I came across a photograph of Carney apparently hugging a man wearing a pink thong. The photo is legit.
Then I got depressed at the absolute degeneracy of Canada and its leaders.
Then someone pointed out the red shoes.
Now I’m diving down a rabbit hole of what it means when political elites wear red shoes.
I appreciate it’s “conspiracy theory”.
And if I weren’t so cranky. If I weren’t already so depressed at the absolute state of Canada, maybe I wouldn’t place any Creedence in it. But why was he wearing red shoes with a blue suit?
OK, I need to find some food. 😂

One place where AI proves fun is its image generation capacity, whether for memes, dystopian dreams, otherworldly experiences, or translating photos and ideas into the templated work of famous painters. I asked it to convert this meme into a Hopper painting, and it turns out quite fun, as it blurs and blends the images into the spirit of the people and place, as Hopper so masterfully made so often. A Hush Hush of its own accord.
