A natural treasure in the most discrete places

We got this microscope. It’s amazing.

Look at the treasure, we found in a tiny puddle of water in the leaf of an agave plant.

Andy Harris had a rough night

There is a viral video going around of Andy Harris (Republican representative for Maryland’s 1sr Congressional District) in which he tries to blame the prices of diesel on Democrat “environmental regulations”.

After the crowd starts laughing, he goes on a tirade.

I needed to find the clip in context.

The context does not make it any better.

Do he not understand what he looks like when he berates the very people he is asking to vote for him?

Also, no one is going to buy that answer.

If he sincerely believed his answer, he would not get upset at people for laughing at it.

Art of the Day: Wednesday, October 14, 2026

The day starts and finishes in the shadows, the pre-dawn or post-sunset cafe, reminding me of my youth opening my grandparents' diner before the area awoke raising the awnings before the sun rose to welcome the day. Each person embraced within their own thoughts, the contemplative character of their poses counterbalanced by the sense of movement and community in their shadows against the wall. A beginning of the day, a commencement of the night, all merged and married into one.

Special Notices

A. Art of the Day
  • Another artistic expression of my own self-impression, the contemplative thought of looking out into the world through the oversized window amidst the shadows of dark and light, in between them both, uncovering and discovering along the way, a singular, solo figure in the space empty of objects but full of opportunities, sparse in materials but rich in ideas, waiting to be realized.

I. THE INTRODUCTION

Special Notices

A. Art of the Day

B. Wisdom of the Day
