So that woman who used the N word has now raised over $500,000.

I half-seriously tweeted that it would be real funny if it turns out she and the guy who put the video on the internet were in cahoots for a fundraiser scam.

Some people - missing the element of jest - called me names and said "yeah, I'm sure a pedo would put himself on blast on purpose".

Couldn't really understand what they meant and googles the guy who posted the video - Sharmake Beyle Omar.

Turns out he was charges with Criminal Sexual Conduct - 3rd Degree - Penetration under 18 - Use coercion,. Criminal ex Cond-5th Degree-Nonconsensual Sexual Contact - charges which were dropped "in the interest of justice".

So while he's not legally a pedo, it is wild that the charges were dropped.

Wild world.

Now I really am wondering if this was something of an ill-conceived (or well-conceived) scam. We are clearly not dealing with the smarted people on earth.

In the stupider side of the news…

I saw this story and couldn’t believe it.

“Georgia police are searching for a man who picked up $30 off a Walmart floor — and the law is on their side”

George authorities posted a picture of a man who allegedly picked up $30 he found on the ground in a Walmart.

George law requires someone who finds mislaid property to try and find the owner.

Not knowing the intricacies of Georgia law, there must be an exception for objects of minimal value. Unless you are supposed to trace down the owner of every nickel, dime and quarter you come across.

I imagine there must be an exception for petty loose cash specifically, given its fungibility. The case-law relating to “found cash” consisted of a bag of cash, with checks and deposit slips - hence identifying the owner of the cash would be easy.

This story is ridiculous.

Anarcho-tyranny.
