Hello lovely people! I’m back from living a nightmare: The Kenneth Fire and the Pacific Palisades Fire were threatening our neighborhood and we experienced living in a war zone! Electricity out and no internet since Tuesday afternoon until this Saturday morning at 1:30am (notification said there could still be interruptions in service). Note: Here is a VERY brief summary of my experience!
First, it was terrifying to try to evacuate when the 101 freeway going North or South were a literal parking lot AND getting off the freeway to work surface streets were ALSO a parking lot everywhere! Yes, we know to always keep a full tank of gas and we’re prepared but you still worry! We worked our way back home because we were listening to the radio and the news reports stated the “Emergency Immediate Evacuation” orders were sent to everyone everywhere regardless of proximity to any danger and that the County and State Officials were apologizing for their mistake! (The Democrats are fk’ing with people: later we saw a Local Reporter’s live interview of Gov. Gavin Newscum and he was smiling almost gleefully laughing as he was expressing how the state will support the people, but his face IN NO WAY matched his words!).
Second, everyone in this neighborhood was supporting each other but some had left for places like Las Vegas and Arizona and some had struggled but managed to find hotels but those places lost power also: as a result some returned to pack more items to leave the state for a while. A significant number remained to let the traffic flow lighten up in case we needed to leave and we wanted to know about power and fuel availability in Ventura County California (when the power is out the gas pumps can’t pump gas: ALSO Tesla car owners were furious because they were stuck).
Third, Friday at about 9:pm an arsonist set fire to a neighbor’s fence and the plants alongside it: that neighbor was home and saw immediately and confronted the criminal, but couldn’t hold onto him because he had to put out that fire 🔥 I saw it from my house and it looked to reach 6 feet in height. Thank God our neighbor got that fire out fast! So many neighbors jumped when we saw the flames and got out with powerful lights and searched all houses up and down the street and some got in their cars and drove around the neighborhood! These wonderful men kept their patrols going till daylight! The Fire Department did send a fire truck quickly and a sheriff came too! About two hours later, the power company Southern California Edison sent out a truck and spoke to one of the neighbors patrolling and he told them that we need power restored to discourage arsonists. I believe the company knows that public safety is a consideration on MANY levels so, given that neighboring communities had been restored to power a day earlier and we were not now in fire danger except from arsonists, they did give us power including the internet at 1:30 am.
Finally, there is so much widespread ongoing trama and high winds are expected, although the wind here is not blowing at all, the nerves are raw, I’ve seen some neighbors crying because of the extreme fear they experienced. Most people like myself are just exhausted beyond measure, so I’m just going to recover my own nerves and sleep, and more sleep and just try to rebalance to my feisty self: I won’t be posting for this weekend at least. The sirens can still be heard but thankfully at a distance and the helicopters are still flying so it’s still very active and we’re not letting our guard down and cars will remain packed because we’re not one hundred percent out of the woods.
Final Note: DON’T let anyone or any news report tell you that ARSONISTS weren’t out here setting fires! I know of several people who had their experiences encountering ARSONISTS.
It happened right here just four houses away! Thanks everyone…I posted this for anyone who is curious and concerned about how the public is so abused in this country: billions to Ukraine but not enough money for Fire Departments or public safety in general: the global elites, the UNIPARTY especially DEMOCRATS are total psychopaths! My anger is on the horizon!

Schedule

  • Friday at 6 eastern: Betting w/ Barnes
  • Saturday at 9 eastern: Movie Night
  • Sunday at 6 eastern: Law for the People w/ Viva

Art of the Day: The Water Fountain. To make the simple, elegant; the functional, expressive; the accessible, ideal. Decorative arts charm the mind by turning the ordinary into extraordinary, the everyday into an otherworldly invitation. This form of decorative arts remakes our material world into an ethereal paradise of the mind evoking the God shaped spark of the soul for a task as mundane as getting a sip of water.

Book Recommendation History rhymes. The last effort of the Deep State to regime change in Iran birthed us the current regime. The Coup: https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/13586980-the-coup?

Wisdom of the Day: “A passionate attachment of one nation for another produces a variety of evils. Sympathy for the favorite nation, facilitating the illusion of an imaginary common interest in cases where no real common interest exists and infusing into one the enmities of the other, betrays the former into a participation in the quarrels and wars of the latter, without adequate inducement or justification.” George Washington, Farewell Address.

  • Sunday Law for the People w/ Viva at 6 pm eastern

Art of the Day: Bansky, the infamous anonymous muralist, whose famed art appears overnight in hot spots around the globe, eviscerates war propaganda with the brilliant contrasting images of his Bombs with Babies. Gets the point across with elegant efficacy. The only certainty with war is horror awaits someone, somewhere. A bias toward NO tenders out universal humanitarianism.

Book Recommendation: The Achilles Trap: The Iraq War.  Riddled with incompetency, the decisions at each stage backfired in our Mideastern war politics, summed up as we “failed to grasp critical nuances” of the enemy.

Wisdom of the Day: “But America goes not abroad, in search of monsters to destroy…. America well knows that by once enlisting under other banners than her own, were they even the banners of foreign Independence, she would involve herself beyond the power of extrication, in all the wars of interest and intrigue, of individual avarice, envy, and ambition, which assume the colors and usurp the standard of freedom. The fundamental maxims of her policy would insensibly change from liberty to force. The frontlet upon her brow would no longer beam with the ineffable splendor of Freedom and Independence; but in its stead would soon be substituted an Imperial Diadem, flashing in false and tarnished lustre the murky radiance of dominion and power. She might become the dictatress of the world. She would be no longer the ruler of her own spirit.” John Quincy Adams.

Barnes Brief: Special War Edition, Monday, June 16, 2025
  • When swing state voters were asked in 2024, they overwhelmingly opposed joining any war between Israel and Iran.

  • This is nothing new, as the same skepticism animated voter response during the Iran nuclear weapons panic of 2009.

  • Americans do not want the US to be the dominant player on the world’s stage.

  • Americans see us as overinvolved already.

  • Americans do not want to risk war with nuclear powers.

  • Americans no longer believe intervention solves anything.

  •  This reflects souring opinion on military interventions in general.

  • Americans saw this all the way back to the Korean war that sunk Truman.

  • They just as quickly turned on the Iraq war that crushed Bush and the Bush coalition forever.

  • Part of this also reflects that Americans increasingly view Netanyahu’s Israeli government skeptically.

  • Skepticism of Israel under Netanyahu is now a global phenomenon.

  • The only group that a majority supports Israel over the Palestinian cause are now reduced to boomercons.

  • Hence, Trump’s temporary Gaza idea was widely rejected right away by voters.

  • Indeed, a surge in opposition amongst younger independent voters even has a bare majority supporting even giving military aid at all to Israel.

  • Americans are even split on helping Israel against Hamas, fueled by young voter skepticism.

  • Every group is trending negative toward Netanyahu’s Israel.

Hence, why so few Americans back American direct involvement in a war with Iran.
