A video allegedly showing Obama birth certificate is fake

I was sent this video on Instagram claiming that Obama’s birth certificate is demonstrably a fake (watch the video).

I am extremely skeptical of it, because if it were so obvious and so easy to demonstrate that the birth certificate is fake, I presume others would have discovered it earlier and/or it would be replicated by others.

We have an amazing community, and I know there are a lot of smarter people here / people with skills that I do not have that could confirm or replicate this demonstration.

What’s the consensus? I know what I believe. I know what I can prove. And I can still steel-man that which seems to prove what I might believe because I’m still skeptical.

Major the Malinois

I spoke with someone at Austin Animal Services today.

They did not have any news on the status of Major the Belgian Malinois. From what they told me, the city of Austin was going to euthanize Major in the absence of a court order enjoining them from doing so.

I have since been told that something of a mutual agreement had been reached giving another two weeks grace. I cannot confirm that, however.

For those who don’t know, Major is a Belgian Malinois who has been kept in isolation for over 500 days because the dog bit someone after it was struck by a vehicle.

The owner, who was homeless at the time, tied the injured dog to a porch while he went to get help. In the interim, some good Samaritans tried to help the dog, but the dog bit one of the good Samaritans causing relatively substantial damage to the arm.

Worth noting, the good Samaritan wanted nothing to do with the euthanizing of the dog.

The dog was his service animal.

The owner has been fighting the order to euthanize the dog. The dog has been in ...

Identify that poop

Out for a ride with the Mrs. and kid… Came across this piece of poop. My guess is bobcat and rabbit remain.

Who says what?

Deep thought Movie reference

Going to try and do a daily deep thought through movie reference.

Today, day one, fight club.

I remember this line from the first time I saw the movie.

A question everyone should ask daily at every point of their lives.

I did a quick hit on Richard Syrette yesterday. Gotta keep Canadians apprised of the U.S. madness.

Another artistic expression of my own self-impression, the contemplative thought of looking out into the world through the oversized window amidst the shadows of dark and light, in between them both, uncovering and discovering along the way, a singular, solo figure in the space empty of objects but full of opportunities, sparse in materials but rich in ideas, waiting to be realized.
