I’m sure you’ve heard the news… Crazy far-right extremists burning drop boxes! Democracy is under attack!
In states that went healthy double-digits to Joe Biden… Yep, the story makes sense. 😂
The suspect is driving a Volvo, apparently. Confirmed lefty radical. ;-)
Jokes, aside, a number of interesting theories to contemplate:
1) the most likely - garnering sympathy mobilization in advance of an election. Set a couple of drop boxes on fire and states that are virtually certainly going to Joe Biden, scream, victim, and mobilize Democrats in other states. The old “throw a brick through your window and then call the media to hold a fundraiser the next day”
2) equally likely - antifa radicals doing what they do. Causing chaos.
3) less likely, but interesting: burning evidence. 😂
4) less likely, but also possible: scare Republicans out of voting early. Although the solution would still be to vote early, just in person.
5) least likely: a Republican in deep blue states deciding to do something wildly stupid and useless.
Did I miss any possibilities?
I watched the pipe bomber arrest press conference. I found it very unsatisfying. They basically said they’re not going to reveal any of the evidence for the time being, and except in accordance with the legal process.
Judge Pirro is the only one who gave the slightest indication of what the conclusive evidence was. Apparently they traced the sale/purchase of the pipe bomb cap and/or other materials to this individual.
Other than this clip, no evidence was provided during the press conference.

One place where AI proves fun is its image generation capacity, whether for memes, dystopian dreams, otherworldly experiences, or translating photos and ideas into the templated work of famous painters. I asked it to convert this meme into a Hopper painting, and it turns out quite fun, as it blurs and blends the images into the spirit of the people and place, as Hopper so masterfully made so often.
