We made it to the Salton Sea
I am sure there is a metaphor in here as to why I find the Salton sea so beautiful.
An accident of nature that is on its way to extinction.
So utterly beautiful, yet so uninhabitable.
Since the last time we were here, there was the last fish kill, such that there are currently no longer any fish whatsoever in the Salton Sea.
Salinity is twice that of the Pacific Ocean.
it is godly and serene in its appearance, yet totally inaccessible.
we went to Bombay Beach. I felt uncomfortable, not because of the environment, but because it almost felt like outsiders coming in to gawk at the decline of what was once heaven in the desert.
But we saw it. It’s as beautiful as I remembered. Although I had a close encounter with the quicksand much.
Will post that video separately.
