Sunday, we were playing by the glades - netting some minnows, etc. (no submersion in water).
I got bit on my forearm by what felt like a mosquito. It swelled up the way a mosquito bite does, but was itchier.
I haven’t touched it (despite the urge to scratch my arm off).
This is what it looks like today. No infection or spreading redness, but blistering and extreme itch.
I’m thinking it was a fire ant, but it seems bigger. Not a tick or a wasp.
Not that I’m panicking, but I’m already practicing writing with my left hand (just kidding).
Who’s got the best guess as to what I got bitten by?
I watched the pipe bomber arrest press conference. I found it very unsatisfying. They basically said they’re not going to reveal any of the evidence for the time being, and except in accordance with the legal process.
Judge Pirro is the only one who gave the slightest indication of what the conclusive evidence was. Apparently they traced the sale/purchase of the pipe bomb cap and/or other materials to this individual.
Other than this clip, no evidence was provided during the press conference.
I did a quick hit on Richard Syrette yesterday. Gotta keep Canadians apprised of the U.S. madness.
I, uh… sometimes you don’t know what to say. I always liked to say that she was here when I got here. My older sister was here when I got here and she has always been here every day since, up to today. She died yesterday. I am not surprised and I am stunned, if that makes any sense.
She was a wonderful sister, an amazing woman, and I loved her dearly. She and her husband did so much to help me in my life. Yes, my brother-in-law has always been great to me. She married well, that’s for sure.
As for me, I’m fine. I’m not all that sad, at least not yet. Just stunned.

Penned on a single sheet of animal skin by Jacob Shallus, it stands out as the Great Charter of American liberty, the profound experiment in self-government, and still stands today as the oldest and shortest written constitution of any major government in the world today. Those words stand out above the rest, written in flowing letters outsized to the text, to remind the world upon what power our government sits: We the People.

One place where AI proves fun is its image generation capacity, whether for memes, dystopian dreams, otherworldly experiences, or translating photos and ideas into the templated work of famous painters. I asked it to convert this meme into a Hopper painting, and it turns out quite fun, as it blurs and blends the images into the spirit of the people and place, as Hopper so masterfully made so often. A Hush Hush of its own accord.
