Idaho at SCOTUS Yesterday
I listened to oral arguments yesterday for the US v. Idaho case (Feds trying to say that medicare law preempts the state's pro life statutes). Most of the discussion didn't really cover the issues before the court, which was disappointing. Justice Jackson continues to show how completely unqualified she is on the bench and could not understand the arguments that were being made, nor the underlying law for those arguments. It was impressive, in a way. Mr. Josh Turner (alum from Liberty University School of Law, first from the school to argue before SCOTUS) had probably the best command of the facts and law. He did extremely well. But Kagan, Sotomayor, and Jackson, wouldn't let him respond to their questions.

It's amazing to me that at the highest court there is still too much political nonsense tainting the legal discussion. I get that it is a factor but they couldn't even get to the core issues and were completely sidetracked by ancillary things. I have ZERO ...
