From a board member, the liveliness in this photograph, balancing and blending nature to the inner surroundings, the warm, thick, colorful carpet above stone floors, the brick-made walls below the wooden beam roof (reminding me of the old homes on the little island in the center of Paris), the broad windows embracing the light, the flowers percolating throughout, the spices along the shelves, the pillowed chair waiting, all so natural, so human, so inviting.

Early morning hours in Venezia, the fog rolling over the canals, the gondalas slipping through the waterways encircling and interpersing the city, ancient buildings of the civilizations of old standing strong, Gothic walls weathering centuries of storms and war, the maze of bridges criss-crossing the inner walls of the city, beckoning us as the bakers begin their bread-making and the cafes start up their lattes, walking steps Marco Polo once crossed, a true gem of a city to awake to, like Atlantis risen from the sea.
